  • Free, annual event in downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro, NC

  • Illuminated art installations, projections, and programs in interior and exterior spaces

  • A catalyst for joint efforts in both Chapel Hill and Carrboro to brand the downtowns as Arts & Entertainment Districts

  • The first collaborative event between Chapel Hill and Carrboro

  • Takes place on a 2nd Friday ArtWalk, turning the area into a de facto art gallery

 

night lights: a family new year's eve

Role: Creator, Organizer, Manager

  • Partnership with Morehead Planetarium & Science Center and Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership, Chapel Hill, NC

  • Family/Kid-friendly afternoon and evening event to ring in the new year

  • Activities, interactive games, refreshments, and a kids' Moon Drop countdown under the stars in the fulldome theater

  • This event has sold out every year since its inception

  • Downtown Chapel Hill storefront project featuring site-specific installations by local artists in local business windows

  • A collaborative multi-year seasonal project with Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership, and Town of Chapel Hill Public and Cultural Arts

  • Eye-catching pop-up art displays in downtown storefronts, promoting regional artists and further establishing downtown Chapel Hill as a dynamic space for art

WFA – Festival of Arts

Role: Festival Director

  • Annual contemporary arts festival in the Portland Metro area

  • Highlights the latest in contemporary visual arts, music, dance, writing, theatre, film and interactive arts

  • Features interactive art installations, art demos, Art Market, craft activities, Micro Movie Theatre, Main Stage performances and more.

  • 5-6000 people annually

 

Artsplosure – Raleigh Art Festival
Wide Open Bluegrass Art Market

Role: Organizer

  • High-quality annual festivals that celebrate excellence in the performing and visual arts

  • Art Markets, both planned by Sarah Wolfe, feature up to 180 artists annually, in glass, ceramics, metal, wood, fiber, jewelry, mixed media and more.

  • Have increased artist submissions by almost 30%

  • Brought Wide Open Bluegrass Art Market from a sideline to a main focus of the event

  • Artsplosure's spring festival brings in over 80,000 visitors annually and Wide Open Bluegrass brings in up to 200,000

 

Northwest Screendance Expo

Role: Recruiter, Marketer

  • Short film series focused on screendance, a new art genre at the intersection of dance, film and sound.

  • Recruited jury panel to decide which submissions are featured in the expo

  • Led publicity efforts that increased artist submissions by over 300%.

Smith Rock & moab Craggin’ Classics

Role: Organizer, Manager

  • 3-day festivals in Oregon and Utah for American Alpine Club (501(c)(3)) that focus on Community, Competency and Conservation in climbing

  • Feature 12-15 climbing clinics, guest athlete presentations, silent auction and raffle, short films, vendor booths, games, stewardship, exploration, food and festivities

  • Took over OR event in 2016, increasing attendance from 62 in 2015 to over 400 in 2018, selling out 3 years in a row and netting over $60,000 for AAC in three years.

oregon climbs & utah Climbs E-news & Bi-Annual Potlucks

Role: Creator, Organizer, Manager

  • Monthly e-newsletter with readership of almost 700 subscribers since mid-2016.

  • Information on topics related to rock climbing - events, alerts, educational resources, reading materials, non-profit organizations, volunteer trail days and pertinent articles

  • Host climber potlucks twice annually, to build community, share information, develop new partnerships and simply enjoy each others’ company

  • Seasonal open rate of up to 61% and click rate of up to 31%.

Dixie Rock Climbing Competition

Role: Organizer, Manager

  • Community climbing event where participants compete in, volunteer or enjoy observing the longest-running indoor climbing competition in the US

  • Fun all-ages community top-rope climbing event

  • Increased participant involvement by 40% over three years

Sunday Stone Series

Role: Creator, Organizer, Manager

  • Quarterly program at Triangle Rock Club (Raleigh, NC) that featured presenters on a variety of topics around rock climbing in North Carolina

  • Partnership with Triangle Rock Club, American Alpine Club and Carolina Climbers Coalition
